    • 9 am: Check in
    • 9:30am: Fitness Inspired warmup party
    • 9:45am:  Silly string start for 5K AND 1 miler
    • 10:30-11am: Dance Party, 50/50, & Prizes
    THE DEETS:
    • Where:  Ada Moorings neighborhood!  Start and finish at Jacaranda Circle
    • What: fun 1 miler or 5k
    • Who: Ada Moorings residents and friends
    • What to Wear: Bright Colors, Tutus, and Costumes Encouraged (something you can move and have fun in!)
    • Why come: We are going to have SO MUCH fun again this year! Have the chance to catch up with, meet new neighbors, and raise some awareness and money for the Kids' Food Basket here in Grand Rapids. It will be a great way to bring our neighbors (and friends) together! Oh yeah, and an opportunity to get some steps in too ;)
    THIS YEAR'S CHARITY:
    • 50/50 Proceeds & ALL donations this year go to: Kids' Food Basket
    • ​We will have an opportunity to decorate bags to donate to the organization as well!

    Please RSVP for yourself and any children (under 18) so we can know to plan on you! Each adult in the household should fill out the form themselves please.

This Year's Jacaranda Jam!!!

OUR ANNUAL FUN 5K/1 MILER

What a fun event to bring our neighborhood together each summer with our annual Jacaranda Jam in Ada Moorings!  It is a true team effort that started with a question at the bus stop, and turned into an incredibly fun event!!  Our neighbors, small business in the area, and the co-organizers: Kiersten, Jered, and Marissa all showed up HUGE by bringing the excitement, prizes, costumes, and moving shoes out for the event!
  • Neighbors of Ada Mooring!! You showed up, chalked, volunteered, cheered, ran, walked. It was so much fun to have each person make it what it was-- in our humble opinion :) fun, awesome, encouraging--all our words that would describe this event.
  • Sponsors of the Prizes (thank you local, small businesses-- you rock!!)
  • Encouragement and Communication by our Home Owner Associations with special shout-out to the presidents from our neighborhood.
  • Kiersten Gelfand, Jered Zank and Marissa Schaefer who were the awesome leaders and organizers and team players for this event!!!
