So yeah, Summer is definitely in our rear view mirrors as the weather outside is getting a bit chillier. With Fall, means kids are headed back to school (virtually and in-person - weird that I have to make not of that...) which obviously means that September was a perfect month to enter the School of Fitness Inspired! It was a great month to start our "school" as we had 5 weeks of this program which saw some great workouts, some new faces, and new themes and challenges. On to September we go! Insert clever title about Route 66 here.... Yup, I have hit the bottom of the barrel when it comes to clever tag lines. It's tough when you get 9 months in! Don't worry, I will rebound. This month we saw one Fitness Inspirer join up on Route 66 as Becky C merged on. Welcome and great job Becky! This truly speaks to the volume of people traveling on Route 66 that we only had one more join, since there are so many people on it! Keep up the great work It's hip to be a prong It definitely was hip to be a prong this month as we had a ton of Fitness Inspirers earn their prong in September! While no one got their crown, Terri H decided to do one better than her crown as she got her 6th prong! Dang, she loves the bling. Along with her, we saw Leigh D, Cindy E, Leanne F, Laura G, Jim H, Angie R, Elizabeth S and Cynthia T get ever closer to that crown. Bling Bling! School of Fitness Inspired Fall is upon us and we are settling into our routines for this new season. This can serve as a relief to a lot of people as school can serve as an anchor point for schedules and establishing a rhythm (I know it definitely does for us!). Fall is also the start of the last quarter of the year which can also be a great final push for people, or a great final reset as we look to close out the year (who isn't sick of 2020?). The School of Fitness Inspired pushed us to make or physical health a big priority in our schedules, and we had some good sweat going on while doing it!
Our homework was a little different this month as one portion called us to grade ourselves rather than reach for a goal number. Grading our roll ups truly put a focus on form and ability to truly concentrate on our effort while at the same time, listening to our body. In addition to this, the figure 8's tested our coordination (come on, who dropped that dang tennis ball a few times like me?) and our pushups were getting us ready to carry all those pumpkins from the patch. Now, on to the highlights for our School of Fitness Inspired!
