This April in Fitness Inspired, we focused on one powerful theme: growing our capacity.
Not by hustling harder… but by showing up with intention in three core areas:
And… we took on the American Heart Association Squat Challenge: 1500 squats in April! It was incredible to watch how normal it felt to knock out big numbers of squats during workouts—and then keep the streak doing 50–60 squats on the days we didn’t meet live. Many people generously donated, and as a group our squats and our contributions were meaningful, heart-forward, and inspiring. People met their goals, supported an important cause, and discovered they were capable of more than they believed. Our SHOW UP muscle was absolutely thriving. Perfect Attendance Shoutouts These rockstars hit perfect attendance for our Live workouts--and even added bonus sessions, completing 14 or 15 Live workouts total: Cindy, Traci, Terry, Meg, Jim, Jaime, Iris Honorable mention for incredible consistency: Bret – 11 Live workouts! The first muscle we always train in Fitness Inspired is the show up muscle. First, we notice where we are. Then, we build momentum with a toolbox full of strategies that help us keep showing up for what we can, when we can. This month, our community rose to the occasion—especially with library workouts. Shoutouts to everyone who prioritized recorded workouts, whether on their own or together: Cindy, Tracy, Terri, Meg, Jim, Brett, Jamie, Tanya, Iris April Highlights & Personal Wins Below are some of the standout stories and growth moments from our incredible Fitness Inspired Boot Camp crew: Meg Meg expanded beyond her baseline by rocking Fitness Inspired workouts and adding more movement into her workday—especially extra walking and inviting colleagues to join her. She got outside more to enjoy fresh air, involved her visiting family in movement, and added more color and diversity to her plate each week. Her squat total? 2,260 squats! She improved her range of motion, balance, and her one-minute squat capacity. Meg felt the momentum—and we felt her gratitude and commitment. Give it up for Meg! Jim Jim leaned into his homework, noticed improvement in his squat form throughout the month, and incorporated more outdoor time and longer walks. He added new plants to his diet and is excited to continue the rhythm as summer produce arrives. He exceeded the 1500 squat goal, improved flexibility and balance, hit 52 squats with excellent range, and improved body composition by lowering weight and increasing strength. His big takeaway? Optimism and momentum. Give it up for Jim! Jamie Jamie stayed motivated and fully committed to her workout schedule—even on days off from live workouts. She saw major gains in her yoga practice thanks to our mobility and squat homework. She added intentional nature time with nightly walks at least five days per week. She also loved the satisfaction of writing down and celebrating each new diverse plant she tried. She crushed the squat goal with over 2,000 squats! She improved her range of motion and rediscovered that beautiful truth: We don’t know what we’re capable of until we try… and we might just surprise ourselves. Way to go, Jamie! Terri Terri stretched herself by hosting Fitness Inspired library workouts while I was on vacation, showing strong leadership and consistency. She added more outdoor walks, increased her veggie intake, and once she hit 1500 squats she kept moving—but stopped counting, riding the momentum as icing on the cake. She rocked five Live workouts in one week, contributed powerfully to the AHA cause, and felt supported by our community throughout the month. Give it up for Terri! Iris A consistent all-star, Iris grew her intentional movement by getting back into weekend library workouts. She chose to get outside even when it was cold or rainy. She inspired her kids to try many of the diverse plants she ate—averaging 20 different veggies each week! Amazing. She hit 2,500 squats, led the charge with generosity for the American Heart Association, and noticed stronger quads, less tight hamstrings, improved balance, and better squat range. She’s proud of her whole family—including her husband—who has been rocking Fitness Inspired Boot Camp with her for months now. Huge congratulations, Iris! Tracy Tracy rocked 2,155 squats, crushed both Live and library workouts, and consistently shows up as a source of encouragement for the team. She makes the group stronger, more supported, and more connected. Big love to Tracy! A Closing Exhale Take a long, slow exhale. Drop your shoulders. Whether your name is highlighted here or not...whether you are in a moment of victory, defeat, or somewhere in between... Where you are right now is exactly where you need to be. As we step into May, let’s intentionally choose the energy we want to embody. Let’s keep practicing. Let’s celebrate our wins, our misses, and our wants. I feel incredibly lucky to work with each and every Fitness Inspired Boot Camper—this month, this year, and throughout my career. I love the personal training and coaching work we do together as well. And it’s been incredible to watch organizations and businesses raise their hands to incorporate wellness into their culture through our programs, workshops, and workouts. Get your hearts ready—this summer we’re weaving in something special that will offer a biological, energy, and mood upgrade to our whole community. I cannot wait to share it with you. Here’s to another amazing month, Fitness Inspirers. Let’s keep showing up, together.

February Boot Camp wasn’t just about reps, heart rate, and stamina — it was a month-long Generosity Experiment that reshaped how we give, how we show up for ourselves, and how we love the people already in our lives.
Boot Camp became an incubator for tiny missions of good: surprise-and-delight acts, loving the ones we’re with, and seeking out chances to shift momentum for ourselves and others. Our guiding question for the month: “If we give more to ourselves and others, will we end up with less… the same… or more?” What we discovered together was powerful The Power of Acting Before You Feel It A major win across the board was the simple awareness of opportunities to be generous — and the magic that happens when you act on them right away. Boot campers consistently shared:
The Ripple Effect: Home + Work + Family One of the most beautiful outcomes was how deeply this month touched people’s real lives:
Giving Without Spending Money We learned (and relearned) that generosity isn’t only monetary:
One boot camper reflected that doing for others made her feel good, even when the gesture was small. Another loved the chance to challenge herself by doubling a tip or donation. Several plan to keep this practice going monthly. Stronger Bodies, Stronger Hearts Of course, the physical results this month were incredible too:
We learned that according to some experts, 11 consecutive military push-ups is a gold standard of strength. Boot campers not only hit that number — some doubled it — and many more are quickly on their way with alignment, power, and no compensations. That is something to celebrate. Emotional Strength: Staying in the Game A special shout-out goes to the boot campers who had to miss a session(s) due to medical needs, but refused to fall out of the rhythm. Staying in the game — showing up in whatever capacity you can — is a victory that deserves recognition. One boot camper said she was proud of herself for “keeping going even through the dips.” Those are the moments that define real strength. Surprise + Delight → Real Joy The Surprise & Delight missions weren’t only fun… they genuinely changed people’s days:
Community That Has Each Other’s Backs One of the strongest themes this month was how deeply this group supports one another:
A Month That Changed Us February Boot Camp taught us:
I am unbelievably proud of this team: Your strength. Your spirit. Your dedication to each other. Your willingness to grow. Your generosity that inspires me every single day. Here’s to everything we built in February — and to the ripple effects still to be seen. What. A. Month.
The Fitness Inspired Amazing Race teams absolutely rocked this January — showing up with grit, fun, teamwork, and some jaw-dropping consistency. It was the perfect reminder that the very first “muscle” we train at FI is our show-up muscle… and wow, did you all flex it! Below are the official results, shout-outs, and the big winner — plus a huge dose of inspiration you can take with you into February. SHOWING UP: Live Workout Attendance Two teams achieved something extraordinary — perfect attendance at every single live workout:
INCREDIBLE. Right behind them, with powerhouse consistency, were:
WORKOUT LIBRARY CHAMPS The Fitness Inspired Library did not collect dust this month — you all crushed it! Big shout-outs to:
That’s consistency. That’s initiative. That’s inspiring. LIVE WORKOUT ENERGY & FI VIBES These teams brought next-level FI spirit — the outfits, the energy, the clues, the effort… SO GOOD.
HEALTHY STRIDES: Momentum, Fuel & Recovery Your between-workout lifestyle choices created strength, energy, and better sleep — and it showed. Special shout-outs:
FOCUS WINS: Every Person Improved This final category was mind-blowing to me. Each person chose their own focus area — strength progression, cardio capacity, waist/weight numbers--something uniquely meaningful to them. And when all the data came in… Every single individual improved in their chosen focus. Every. Single. One. It was such a powerful reminder: Where we put our focus, energy, and intention… we grow. And we didn’t chase perfection. We showed up. We supported each other. We trained not just our muscles — but our mindset. And that’s what makes these results so sweet. AND THE WINNER OF THE AMAZING RACE IS… P!NK CAMO CLUB!! Congrats, Jamie & Tanya!! Your teamwork, consistency, FI spirit, and across-the-board strength this month were unstoppable. To EVERYONE Who Participated… You made this month amazing. You brought the energy, the commitment, the camaraderie — and the heart — that makes Fitness Inspired more than a workout… it’s a community. I am SO proud of you. Thank you for starting 2026 with fire, joy, and teamwork. Let’s take this momentum and FUN into February and keep building something incredible together. You inspire me every single day. As we close out 2025, my heart is overflowing with gratitude, pride, and joy for our Fitness Inspired community. This year has been full of growth, energy, resilience, and so many powerful moments — and our grand finale, the 12 Days of Fitness , was the perfect way to wrap it all up. This program holds a special kind of magic. It’s where fun meets accountability, where holiday chaos becomes momentum, and where teammates lift each other up as they show up for themselves. Here are just a few of the reflections YOU (the 12 Days of Fitness participants) shared — the quotes that touched my heart and capture the spirit of what we built together:
How We Showed Up: 12 Days of FitnessThis year’s 12 Days program wrapped with so much enthusiasm and heart. Each team showed up in all three challenge categories. The energy was electric. The fun was real. And the momentum? Powerful. During our celebration workout, we dove into the stats, the progress, and all the points earned throughout the journey. And now… Drumroll please… A huge congratulations to this year’s winning team: the Bling Team! Your consistency, spirit, and teamwork lit up the whole program. Well done! Looking Ahead: Your Best 2026 Starts Now2025 gave us so much to celebrate — strength, growth, joy, connection, and a renewed belief in what our bodies and minds can do.
And now… 2026 is calling. We’re stepping into a year of fun, healthy habits, and forward momentum. A year to build energy, confidence, and strength in ways that make every day brighter. We’re starting strong with our January Amazing Race–themed Fitness Inspired Boot Camp — building healthy habits, creating momentum, and starting each day feeling accomplished and energized. Here’s to the year ahead… and to YOU. Thank you for making 2025 unforgettable. Let’s make 2026 our strongest, healthiest, most inspired year yet. It was great to focus on being BRAVE this month in our movement, our nourishment, and rest too!
As you enjoy your Halloween and reflect on what went well and what you might choose to take with you into November, maybe you want to think about what scares you in an inspiring, healthy, brave way? I was just inspired to brainstorm a list of the top 10 things I would love to see happen in the next 1,000 days. It was a really cool exercise and something I think could open your eyes to what you can't even believe you are capable yet...(If you are reading this and you are a current coaching client of mine, let's put a session where we explore your list at an upcoming session before the new year. ) Before we close out the month and look ahead to our goals, commitments, ways of being to close out this year (November Boot Camp theme is the incredible Happy. Thanks. Giving. theme that will leave you transformed in your mindset AND moving better and December is the awesome 12 days of Fitness program), let's celebrate our boot camp group this month!! As a group we crushed our movement commitment-- key stone habit baby!!! I love the specificity we all owned for naming what our brave movement, brave nourishment, brave rest goals and commitment would be. I'm currently getting curious about creating FI programming, tools, coaching around how we can continue to feel empowered and experience growth in incredible SLEEP (quality and quantity). I also want to acknowledge and celebrate the VISIBLE shifts of this group in strength, form, capability to do new movements better, and support for each other (You are STARS!)! I am excited to continue to build off this month and finish this year strong. This will allow you to have a strong foundation to launch into 2026 thriving and feeling better than you ever thought capable of because of your humility and strength to show up and get the support that your future self will be PROUD of your current self for!! November we have some missed Boot campers coming back after working through surgeries and set backs to do the FI recovery plan and I know they will end up stronger than ever! *If you are considering upleveling in your health, fitness, wellbeing, the way you show up for this one beautiful life, I want to hear about what your thinking -- your goals, challenges, and what you are wanting is. We were working on the pillars of health in tangible ways this past month in Fitness Inspired Boot Camp program. Will you celebrate the September FI boot campers with me? including yourself too?
One of the pillars FI boot campers showed up for and rocked is Movement! Two examples of this that they showed up well for are:
Now, here's to some of YOUR Fitness Inspired Boot Camp Results from this month:
The Fitness Inspired Boot Camp theme for August was all about the invitation to savor, notice, and expand through this month's--workouts, healthy habits, food plan, and mindset shifts.
Another common thread this month, in people's personal coaching sessions, reflection in my own life, and in between sets or deep breaths during boot camp was around "challenging myself to lean into "being" rather than all my focus and much of my worth being from "doing." Whew, be careful what you want to grow in, is all I have to say on that (for now ;))! Specific Shout-outs about some of our FI Boot Campers as we checked in with data from the beginning of the month to the end of August's Boot Camp program:
Looking forward to September's FI Boot Camp official start is Sept 9th. If you are reading this and want to have a discovery call with me (Kiersten) let's schedule that for Sept 2-5th. Start getting excited and thinking about teamwork makes the dreamwork for October's theme! September 16th registration will drop and you will want to get in on the fun if you are not already a regular monthly Fitness Inspired Boot Camper! If you are in FI boot camp already, think about who you would want to invite to. join you. TO: July Fitness Inspired Boot Campers
It's all about progress from our baseline and showing up for WHO we want to be!!!! I'm so freaking proud of this group, the sense of community we create, and the amazing energy and health you are living out. As a team we have been working on being able to do 11 military pushups. I'm so thrilled to report that this group of FI boot campers all have hit that goal! Simultaneously, we have been working on our upper body mobility, because we want to be strong and mobile. I'm excited to report we are all in the "B" or better category in our upper body mobility test! This is one more piece of evidence that how we train and what we measure makes all the difference. As a group, we each rose to the challenge of improving our range of motion in the firework ab exercise (which is a nod to hip mobility too). Also, each of you (July boot campers) rocked between 40 and 50 consecutive firework abs during our post-testing workout. The last result I want to highlight is that you are within the guidelines or so close to the waistline recommendation for our (heart and overall) health. While we test and notice physical results and improvements we know and I hear from you that the physical improvements (amazing as they are and feel) pale in comparison to what being in FI boot camp does for your energy, mood, mindset, and overall sense of wellbeing. YOU ROCK! Kiersten This personal training client wanted to workout on her schedule using some of her awesome tools (think all things peloton). She wanted to make some progress on some weight and waistline goals as well as be an awesome example for her kids. She wants to live and workout on her terms and has been consistently working out. Several weeks in she is hitting waistline goals and feeling so good! Just to give you an idea of one of her tangible results she has lost in the space between her chest and before her hips 5 inches. She has gained strength, lost weight, improved her form and reduced compensatory movements! Give it up for this rockstar mom, wife, and business owner!
This boot camper has been a consistent force of positive influence. Shout-out to this Fitness Inspired boot camper who rocked her strength exercises, Aced her mobility exercises, and rocked her movement daily. She chose to show-up for the plan this mont and feels so much more confident because of it. She says "This starts my day right. It sets my mind." Looking back since the start of this year she is down an inch in her waist and shaved a half an inch off her hips, which keeping off these inches are impressive. What is most impressive to me though, is what she gains and the energy she brings into her circle of influence! Give it up with for this woman who continues to be a leader in her family (3 amazing grown daughters), her community and business too! The Amazing Group of May Fitness Inspirers ROCKED it! Let's highlight our May Top Achiever Here:6/2/2025 This person had perfect attendance and was at 12/12 of this month's live boot camp workouts!
She rocked movement for 30 minutes or more each day this month and got her reps in for mindfulness and mining for joy throughout this month. She did more than 11 (24 to be exact) military pushups with amazing form which was the recommendation all FI boot campers are working towards on to progress or hit. Her waistline is lean and strong with her waist circumference meeting guidelines for heart health and disease prevention. Saying yes to live workouts with her Fitness Inspired friends 3 mornings a week sets her up for success and feeling her best currently and training for the future too! Congrats to Terri our May Fitness Inspired Boot Camp Top Achiever! |
You Rock!
Thank you for lifting each other up and cheering each other on every step of the way! I am so proud of the progress I see in you from month to month. I hope the progress in mindset, physical challenges, adherence, and measurements motivates you as it does me. Archives
