1. Get coaches in important areas of your life!
Prioritize coaching in your life will get you to where you want to go-- in a better more efficient way. We all have a finite amount of energy, time, and resources. Make it your goal to take action with this by getting a coach in an important area of your life, being a better coach to yourself, and being a coach to others! When you get coaches and mentors they will lead you in a way they are an expert in, and you will reap the benefits that all successful people see the value in. Be a better coach to yourself-- reign in and put a positive spin on your self-talk, don't give up on yourself--EVER, and start taking action NOW with what you want to be more amazing at. Be a mentor and coach to others. You will reap the benefits 10 fold when you lift others up and help people in an area that you have already learned some in's and outs in. YOU got this!! On a journey to a healthier lifestyle, we often will say to ourselves, “I’m going to workout more.” Yet, how much exercise is necessary to achieve the health benefits we are looking for? The American Heart Association recommends that for overall cardiorespiratory fitness, the average person should workout out for 30 minutes at moderate intensity 5 days a week for a total of 150 minutes a week. This could include going for a jog, participating in a sport you love, riding a bike, or a Fitness Inspired boot-camp workout (my personal fav!). The AHA also suggests that 2 of those days should include Moderate- to high-intensity muscle-strengthening activity. Muscle strengthening is anything that makes your muscles work, so that could include lifting weights, using resistance bands, performing body weight exercises, etc. For even more extensive health benefits, the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) actually suggests doubling the 150-minute recommendation to 300 minutes a week, making your workouts a little longer.

Many weight-loss programs CAN help you lose weight in the short-term. Almost all of these programs have you cut weight by reducing your calories in some way even if it's masked by an unusual method. It is important to factor calories-in (food and drinks we eat) and calories-out (our workouts) into the equation; however, in order to:

As we close out 2016, and I prepare to set goals for 2017. It is so important to reflect on this past year...so here's me trying to narrow down all the ah-ha moments and lessons learned in 2016 to my top 3 biggest, most impactful, take-aways from 2016. Lesson #1: MORE EditingI ended 2015 with a desire to reduce clutter and increase focus of the important. I had just gone through the whirlwind of having an infant and if that wasn't enough I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and had just finished up all my treatments for that. So with my increased desire to clear the less important to make room for more of the MOST important I worked on...
